Cybersecurity for
the manufacturing
industry

An industrial cybersecurity solution specifically developed to enhance OT and IOT security for manufacturing SMEs.

Fortaress protects the critical infrastructures and production lines of small and medium-sized manufacturers against cyber threats and industrial espionage.

Fortaress was designed to fill the major security gaps in operational networks and industrial control systems (ICS), which are facing a rapid and constant increase in vulnerabilities, while generally lacking modern, robust and affordable security alternatives.

This technology considerably reduces the risk of production stoppages and theft of sensitive data due to cyber-attacks.

Why FORTARESS

Due to the vulnerabilities associated with legacy systems and critical infrastructures that are abundantly connected to IT networks, manufacturers are prime targets for malicious actors. According to a survey of 900 cybersecurity decision-makers in the industrial sector:
0M$
Average damage value following an industrial cyber attack
40%
Had their activities interrupted for four days or more
60%
Declared that their supply chain had been affected
20%
Reported more than 6 intrusions this year, compared with only 11% the previous year

Protect your production,
eliminate interruptions.

S.C.V.D

Fortaress offers 4 critical enhancements for industrial SMEs.

These enhancements, called SCVD, aim to significantly improve the Security, Control and Visibility of operational infrastructures, while enhancing threat Detection capabilities.

Security

Optimal OT security thanks to industrial firewall functionality, OT network segmentation and an intrusion prevention system (IPS).
"

Control

Implement secure access control with Zero Trust policies and virtual patching of IoT and OT applications.
"

Visibility

OT/IoT visibility by identifying IoT devices and OT assets, their vulnerabilities and aggregating logs.
"

Detection

Threat detection with integrated SIEM solution, 24/7 OT network monitoring and rapid response to security breaches.
"

01. NGFW

Next-generation industrial firewall integrated that filters inbound and outbound OT network traffic while providing automated protection against known and unknown threats thanks to artificial intelligence.

02. OT network segmentation

Network segmentation is an essential practice for securing production lines. It aims to isolate the OT network to block access to attackers, unauthorized users and applications. It also protects the OT against infection from IT.

03. Intrusion prevention system (IPS)

The intrusion prevention system analyses network traffic and proactively scans for known threats or other malicious and suspicious activity. It performs passive packet inspection (DPI) of the operational network to identify and block threats.

01. Zero Trust

Zero Trust rules are critical for controlling OT network access. They grant access only to authorized users, applications and devices, while validating their identities and authorizations at each connection request.

02. OT application control

Protects OT devices such as PLCs, HMIs and SCADAs by enabling OT/IoT application-specific firewall policies. This reduces the risk of ICS processes being interrupted by legitimate user error, or by a malicious actor launching a cyber attack.

03. Virtual Patching

Virtual patching protects vulnerable OT applications that have not been patched, while protecting vulnerable legacy systems in the OT network, without the need for security or software patches.

01. Identifying OT assets

Assets identification functionality enables discovery and inventory of all OT/IoT/ICS devices connected to the operational network. This provides unified visibility of OT assets and rigorous access control.

02. Vulnerability assessment

This service continuously assesses the security status of operational technologies in real time, including unpatched vulnerabilities and critical security parameters. The reports available can thus inform the teams responsible for assets presenting security flaws.

03. OT log aggregation

The OT logging feature collects, stores and analyzes logs from the industrial firewall and intrusion prevention system (IPS). This makes it possible, among other things, to search for specific events using various search criteria, such as time interval, IP source or destination and protocol.

01. 24/7 OT/IoT monitoring

24/7 network monitoring service included for complete, real-time visibility of critical infrastructures. Essential in industrial cybersecurity, our monitoring central station (SOC) keeps a watchful eye on your operations to ensure security and continuity.

02. OT SIEM

The integrated SIEM solution collects, analyzes and correlates events and log data from different sources to identify patterns, behaviors, anomalies, potential security incidents or other cyber threats.

03. Threat detection and response

Advanced network monitoring technologies enable rapid detection of potential security breaches and reduce mean time to detect (MTTD), improving the speed with which our team and artificial intelligence can intervene when needed.

Designed for the manufacturing industry.

Industry standards for ICS

Fortaress helps manufacturing SMEs secure their critical infrastructures through the Purdue model hierarchy.

Designed for harsh conditions

Our rugged devices offer enhanced durability against extreme temperatures, shock, vibration and dusty environments.

Industrial cybersecurity standards

The security functionalities of operational technologies use the “Kill Chain” and MITRE ATT&CK® frameworks.

Integration with no impact on IT or production

Integration takes just a few hours, with no impact on the IT network and no downtime.

Fortaress Certifications

Monitoring by humans and AI.

With Fortaress, small and medium-sized manufacturers can monitor their production lines continuously and in real time.

ISO 27001:2022 certified

Our ISO 27001:2022-certified Security Operation Center (SOC) is operated in-house by highly qualified and experienced cybersecurity personnel. Our monitoring service is led by experts who are also trained in OT/IoT.

Threat detection

Combining the strengths of our artificial intelligence technologies in threat detection and the expertise of our OT/IoT monitoring team, our SOC analyzes events from the industrial network to identify anomalies and suspicious signs.

Incident response

Our Security Operation Center is also responsible for preventing and responding to potential or actual threats. If there are any doubts or indications of security breaches, our analysts investigate and take immediate action to protect production lines.

About Fortaress

Fortaress is the initiative of two successful entrepreneurs in the industrial and cybersecurity sectors. In 2023, they decided to join forces, and above all, their expertise, to develop a cybersecurity solution specially adapted to the needs and realities of manufacturing SMEs. In 2024, they officially launched Fortaress and their first solution to secure and monitor production lines.

Fortaress was created with the aim of ensuring the continuous operation and cybersecurity of manufacturing companies’ critical infrastructures by offering a state-of-the-art security solution that is both affordable and easy to integrate.
